it's official, cn's new music studio is up and running! this is the biggest space for his music in all his year in nyc. whoo!

Tribute to Texas-born actor Rip Torn and world premiere festival screening of "Lucky Days" on April 25, 2008 in cn's home town Dallas, Tx.

CN premiered 2 songs and a soundscape for solo double bass at his faculty recital at the 92nd st Y. The event also marked his return to playing original jazz tunes. Expect more jazz gigs later this year. But for now, recording space bar has kicked into high gear. Rammer is working on images for the cover / website.

rehearsing, arranging, and some recording has started on the magnum opus "space bar" ...
expect tracks to trickle out for internet release / digital download soon - all leading up to the double album physical cd release with artwork for every track.

Big day for Eavesdrop and CN.

Recording the Eroica Trio at Legacy studios went splendidly. About 20 minutes worth of music including the main themes and the music of composer character August Moon (played by Terence Mann) including lots of his sonata and a tango.

So much music underway ...
staggering, exhilarating ...
I'm a lucky dog thanking my lucky stars. One hour and 10 minues of music composed, recorded, performed (most by himself), mixed and delivered all in less than two months.

What else can I say - busiest summer ever. Freaking wow.

All the cues have been composed, recorded and delivered ... just final mix / lay in session remains. ADR and editting going very well. Festival circuit, here we come!

cn has signed on to score Lucky Days starring writer/director Angelica Torn, co-director Tony Torn, Luke Zarzecki, Rip Torn, and Federico Castelluccio

Deal in the works. Blockbuster, Netflix and Starz here we come! Expect it all by the Fall.

Spotting and scoring sessions are going well. We've got a trailer in the works.

Cn has played On Broadway for some time (LIon King) and even been on stage (Rent) but this was different. Cn had his first Spring Awakening show at the Eugene O'Neil Theater on Saturday February 3rd subbing his friend and fellow LIon King sub George Farmer. The band is on stage, and as there is no curtain music, they leave their seats and take a bow hand in hand with the actors at the end of the show. (Check out "links")

... to be insanely busy - 3 lion kings, 2 ypc concerts (at the 92nd St Y and Carnegie Hall) and some students I have not seen in a while - all in 4 days. Nevertheless, more progress on Eavesdrop themes with Matt and method book with DB. Apologies, I still have not sent "renquist" compilation off to the presses. I'm hoping to get it out before the end of the year.

More filming all the time. Lots of piano music in the works for the scenes we've got so far.
