Having completed the scores for several short films (Abidjan, Case Closed, Bemvindo, S&M, Mary's Journal, Pink) in 2009-2010 with strong responses around the globe, CN will launch shortfilmmusic.com soon to promote volumes 1 & 2 and bring together both "short music for film" (that is, short in duration, tracks for film) AND "music composed for short films." This album features lots of CN's guitar playing (including afro-beat, americana, brazilian, classical, hard rock, ebow / sound effects and even slide + textures on cigar box guitar, as well as bamboo violin) and Bernard Hermann-esque symphonic writing. Most of this music was composed, recorded and produced very quickly for micro-budget films. The 8:34 minute long score for Mary's Journal was completed in less than three days.
