KR "Hiring North was a wise move” "Very Impressed with Christopher North's Score"

Multi-instrumentalist composer Christopher North on his process: “One of the ways I describe this film is that it’s a love of cinema and a love of music film set in the late 90s that's actually a romantic comedy and, without giving too much away, where they actually don't stay together, but everything's okay.”

Christopher North continues: “There’s also a time travel element that's going down. How the heck do you deal with that? Well, there was one secret weapon instrument that I used, which happened to be a Tibetan bowl, which acted as a kind of magical sound. There was a little bit of suspension of belief, but other than that, it's not sci-fi time travel. Most films that do time travel do it with beeps and boops and spaceships and it took a while to find the tone of this score, which was informed by similar films (Somewhere in Time).”
