UNPAINTED is a visual study and deconstruction of how Portola Paints and Glazes, an artisan paint shop in Los Angeles, makes their paint products.
Variety says: "Notable Asset" to work "well served by a fine soundtrack"
LA Times says "Music naturally fills the film" KR "Hiring North was a wise move” "Very Impressed with Christopher North's Score"
Nacogdoches Film Festival AND WFF Best Score
Multi-instrumentalist composer Christopher North says “Unpainted is essentially a silent short documentary, with my score as the only sound. I honestly can say I’ve scored watching paint dry.”
Christopher North continues “I have a dream of having a live score arrangement of this score that is probably a sextet with harp and maybe even a little bit of banjo.”
Christopher North continues “There’s one little secret sauce element, and that is some textures from banjo with reverb that landed in the film, acting as a little bit of pixie dust magic.”
